Shipping, Returns & Warranty

For return authorization: 

  1. Return must be requested within 30 days by the customer.
  2. Unit must be in the original box (or like packaging) and in brand new condition.
  3. Customers must accept responsibility for all freight costs associated with the order, which includes both return freight and the outbound freight to the customer. 
  4. Customers must agree to a 25% restocking fee. 

Customers are liable for any additional damages exceeding the 25% restocking fee. In cases of product cancellation prior to shipment, a 3% restocking fee will be applied to refunds.

Credit applied upon full inspection

  1. Unit must be ready for pick up or shipped back within 15 days or the Return Merchandise Authorization approval will be voided.

REPLACEMENT PARTS WARRANTY: Comfortable Coast provides a warranty for replacement parts of Shoprider mobility scooters, which lasts for 3 months or extends to the remainder of the unit warranty, whichever is longer.

LIMITED WARRANTIES FOR SHOPRIDER MOBILITY PRODUCTS Comfortable Coast, as a retailer of Shoprider Mobility Products, Inc., assures that the electric scooters and power chairs retailed are warrantied against certain material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. This warranty is subject to conditions and exclusions outlined below. We urge our customers to take the time to understand the following terms and conditions under which Shoprider agrees to provide repair services.

  1. This warranty applies only to products purchased in the United States from Comfortable Coast, an authorized Shoprider provider.

  2. The warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser of the product from Comfortable Coast and shall not apply to any subsequent owner or recipient of the products.

  3. This warranty covers the replacement or repair, at the discretion of Shoprider, of defective parts only. Labor charges, including installation of replacement parts, shipping and/or transportation charges to and from a Shoprider provider, or additional fees are not covered by this warranty.

  4. All warranty replacement parts are covered from the date of purchase of the original product and not from the date of part replacement. Shoprider may choose to replace a defective part with a new one if a certified refurbished part is unavailable. To submit a claim under this limited warranty, the customer should deliver the product to Comfortable Coast along with the proof of purchase.

  5. The warranty covers the following parts and components for the specified duration:

    • Frame of Scooters/Power Chairs: 5-year warranty
    • Electronics: 12-month warranty
    • Motor/Trans Axle/Brake: 12-month warranty
    • Batteries: 6-month warranty
  6. This warranty is valid and enforceable only on products purchased in the United States and from Comfortable Coast, an Authorized Shoprider provider.

  7. No one, aside from Shoprider Mobility Products, Inc., has the authority to make warranties or representations concerning Shoprider products or to extend this warranty beyond the express terms contained here. Any claims stemming from unauthorized representations will not be held against Comfortable Coast.

  8. The warranty becomes void if the customer modifies the product in any respect, including the use of parts other than genuine Shoprider parts.

  9. This warranty does not come into effect unless the Registration Card is signed, completed, and returned within thirty days (30) from the date of purchase.

  10. Exceptions to this warranty include:

  • Transaxle: In cases where there is an increase in the operational noise level, the warranty will not apply.
  • Motor: If damage occurs to the motor's commutator due to not replacing motor brushes after heavy wear.
  • Brake: Brake pads are a wear item and will be warranted for one year.
  • Maintenance: Annual maintenance schedule must be followed.
  1. This warranty does not cover batteries, controllers, plastic shrouding or covers, seat upholstery, arm pads, or tires as these components are considered wear items.

  2. All shipping and transportation costs incurred while submitting parts for repair or replacement are the responsibility of the original purchaser.

  3. Any implied warranty imposed by state consumer law is limited.

  4. The terms of this Agreement are governed by the laws of the State of California. Legal actions or proceedings arising out of or in any way connected with this warranty shall be instituted in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

  5. Shoprider makes no warranty, either express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and
